This circular walk starts and finishes in Eddleston, from the cars we head uphill past Barony Castle Hotel until we reach a sign post [old road to shiplaw] we follow this until it reaches a junction where we turn left onto a tarmac road, after a mile we then turn left onto a forest track into the Cloich forest, after lunch we keep following the forest road as it rises uphill to reach a signpost for an old drove road to Peebles, after descending downhill we cross open fields returning to where the signpost for the oldroad to shiplaw is where we follow the outward route back to Barony Castle where we will visit the Polish map of Scotland, then return to the cars.

If you wish to come on the walk you must contact the Leader in advance by text or phone call, but not more than two weeks in advance (not before 4 May). Also, please provide the Leader with a mobile phone number in case arrangements change.
Walkers should not come on the walk if they have any symptoms associated with the Covid virus.
