We start this walk at the Black Horse in Grimston. First we go south to Saxelbye Park, with good views across the Leicestershire countryside, before turning west through Shoby. We go into Ragdale for a refreshment break, then make our way back to Grimston.
The terrain is mainly undulating rural, with some quiet road walking. There is one fast road to cross. There are stiles, and some of the footpaths will be muddy.
If you would like to join this walk please contact the leader using the email link. If staying for lunch please arrive by 9:45 in time to order your food.
We will get back to The Black Horse by about 1 pm.
We will be able to have lunch at the Black Horse after the walk. The landlord will be available before we start the walk, so that we can pre-order our choices. The current menu is available at https://blackhorsegrimston.com/. There might be some minor changes on the day, and there is a Specials Board.
The pub does not have its own car park, but there is plenty of parking space on nearby roads.
It is approximately 25 minutes drive from West Bridgford.
