Overview

Carn Liath is a 976m high Munro, number 181 in Munro’s table list. It is located on north-east side of Blair Atholl. The route will start from Beinn a Ghlo car park which is at 340m height above sea level. Initially we will take a good Land Rover path, followed by a boggy moor and then a stony path between heather which leads to the summit. We will continue to Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain (BCCB)which is 1070m high Munro (66 in Munro’s table list). We will descend retracing our steps to the bealach between Carn Liath and BCCB, then turn South-east to reach the Land Rover track. If the weather permits, we will enjoy Blair Atholl scenic views.
