Overview

Weather permitting a walk with fine distant views. After a gentle climb over Gosling and Hannah Moors to Chase Lodge we cross The Chase to return along Wharncliffe Crags. Across the Don Valley Moor Hall and Broomhead reservoirs can be seen and in the far distance, beyond Deepcar and Stocksbridge the Pennines and Woodhead Pass are visible.

The path over the crags is rocky and sections through the woods can be muddy after heavy rain. There are no toilet facilities en route.

Pease book by phone in preference to email.
