Overview

A gentle walk at a modest pace around the base of Moel Goedog, a 388 metre hill with an ancient hill fort on the top. Much of the walk follows a Bronze Age track, with a stone circle just off our path soon after we start. There are stunning views over the Dwyryd Estuary and Portmeirion as we contour around the west side of Goedog. As we continue, we see the vista of Eryri and Yr Wyddfa to the north (conditions permitting) while, veering south to start on our return, Clip and Ysgyfarnogod come into view. Rounding the southern side of Goedog, we follow the Ardudwy Way with further views inland to the Rhinog mountains and Llyn Cwm Bychan. Eventually we come full circle back to our parking area.

The terrain on this walk is fairly even, with not too much ascent or descent. There are two or three quite high stiles.
