Eyam, Hawkshill Road CP SK21617672 S32 5QQ 53.287N 1.67731W
This is a Medium Walk and we will meet at Hawkshill Road car park, the free one behind the pay one.
We will head through the village and the woods to Mompesson’s Well, then across Eyam Moor in the direction of Leam before turning towards Stoke Ford. Might be a bit of mud on this stretch, but, hey, we are Ramblers, so no problem. Next, it’s Abney, and the first person to spot the Queen Victoria post box will win a prize. Once through Abney it’s across the fields to Bretton and mostly roads before we drop back to Eyam.
It was 8.7 miles on the recce and very foggy, so I’m looking forward to the views this time.
If your groups walk is fully booked come along and join us, don’t forget to bring a flask and packed lunch, we stop once for a drink and once more for lunch, and set off at 10:00 a.m. with whoever has turned up - so don’t be late. Any queries better call Paul on 07568712197. If you can’t wait to enjoy some fresh air and good company, come on down.
