PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE
We will head along the Macclesfield Canal crossing bridge 16 and meandering through the countryside into Lyme Park. We will stop for coffee after about an hour at the cafe by the lake where toilets will be available. From here, conditions permitting, we will head through Crow Wood and Elmerhurst Wood skirting round Platt Wood and Middlecale Farm before heading back onto the towpath of the Macclesfield Canal for our return journey.
The route has some stiles, some of which are steep together with slippery surfaces. Poles would be beneficial.
Car parking is available either at Nelson Pit Car Park (cash or card) or some on road parking may be available.
Meet at the pay machine of Nelson Pit Car Park which is adjacent to the toilet block.
Please let me know of your intention to attend and don't hesitate to contact me with any queries 07817 237718. Many thanks, Wendy
