We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Start – Jacksons Brickworks car park, Higher Poynton. SJ947844 at 9.45am. About 11.5miles moderate with around 1400ft of ascent.
Route – Over canal to Platt Wood farm, Park Gate, Disley Golf course, Strines, Lower Cliff, Mellor golf course, Bottoms Hall, Roman lakes, Ridge end, edge of Hawk Green, returning by canal and Middlewood way.
Plenty of industrial history in the Strines area.
