A varied route with fine views, a wooded railway walk, waterfalls and open moorland.
From Featherstone Park, we head south on the South Tyne Trail and then cross east to the wonderfully named Yont the Cleugh. From here, we head north to Low Ramshaw and cross moorland on Ramshaw Fell. Our return is past waterfalls on the Park Burn and the historic Lynnshield farm.

Meet at the public car park on the South Tyne Trail at Rowfoot / Featherstone Park, near the Wallace Arms. The turn to the Wallace Arms is sharp right in front of the village hall in Rowfoot as the main road bends to the left. Car sharing is encouraged due to limited parking space.
