Overview

Starting at Hornbeam Park (free parking available) we shall head firstly to Knaresborough, then along quiet  lanes and an old railway trackbed, eventually passing right through the middle of Harrogate, through the Valley Gardens and then Harlow Carr. More quiet lanes and fields bring us to Pannal, on the southern edge of Harrogate, before joining the Ringway for the final short climb back to the start. around 17 -18 miles in length, a good day's walk on good tracks and paths, but nothing too demanding in terms of terrain, and excessive climbing.. It also has the advantage of staying accessible to public transport options if people only want to do part of the route.
