Overview

Meeting at 9am at Buchanan Bus Station Stance 4 for the 9:15am X27 Stagecoach bus service to Kirkcaldy bus station Stance 6 (scheduled time 90 minutes). Toilets at both bus stations.  Walk will be approximately 7 miles along the Fife Coastal Path to Burntisland Links via Kinghorn. This walk is mostly flat with steep steps up to go round a caravan park as we leave Kinghorn.  Where possible we will walk alongside the coast on paved promenades or gravel paths. If the tide is low we'll walk along the beach. We will stop for a picnic lunch at Pettycur Bay, Kinghorn (one public toilet). The walk will begin at Kirkcaldy Esplanade.  We'll return to Kirkcaldy by the half hourly stage coach no 7 bus service, then return to Buchanan Bus Station by the hourly X27 service.  We will endeavour to return by the 15:45 hours service which is scheduled to arrive back in Glasgow around 18:00 hours.
