York Public Transport Walks
After leaving the centre of Dewsbury we walk through a Fairground Residents park to a disused railway line and tunnel (lit). We continue to the Calder and Hebble Navigation and then along Thornhill Edge with extensive views south towards Emley Moor mast.

To start we catch the 08.51 train from York to Dewsbury.
For the return journey we catch the 15.18 bus from Flockton to Wakefield arriving at 15.40. We then catch the 15.47 train from Wakefield to York arriving at 16.30.
