We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Walking from Lifton Village, we follow the River Wolf to beautiful historic 14th century Stowford Church, with ancient monuments, fine interior woodcarving and a sundial dating 1770. Stunning Devon countryside and glimpses of the Gothic Mansion of Hayne. Easy walk but with one steep climb to Church. Some muddy areas and some Road walking otherwise undulating farmland and wooded valleys.
Dogs welcome.
No toilets on route.
We will stop for coffee and lunch. Bring a mat to sit on.
Optional visit to Strawberry Fields tea /farm shop for cuppa and cake afterwards.
