We are the Calderdale Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This ramble takes us from Luddendenfoot up via the footpaths and byways of Sowerby village up to enjoy the excellent views from Crow Hill.
Calderdale weather has a life of its own, so walkers are encouraged to come prepared for the forecast conditions, including appropriate footwear. Bring a packed lunch and drink for open air dining. Some stiles may be encountered and some footpaths may be somewhat uneven.
Meet at the small free carpark just off Station Road, and opposite the Brandy Wine pub in Luddendenfoot. If travelling by bus , alight at Hair by Claire and walk to the junction of Burnley Road and Station Road, or by car, turn left into Station Road from the A646 and turn immediately left as you cross the canal bridge. This is a popular spot so car share is recommended.
