As ever, walkers are reminded to check the forecast before walking and dress accordingly, as Pennine walks can be exposed and muddy at any time of year. Bring a packed lunch and drink to enjoy al fresco. Spring brings lambing and ground-nesting birds so no dogs this time please.
Meet on Scott Street, next to the entrance to the cricket club, opposite Gordon Riggs garden centre on the Rochdale Road. On-street parking is available nearby. Public transport is available.
