Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Marple station.

Transport to Walk Start: 10:18 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Marple

Suggested Ticket: Greater Manchester Rail Ranger £8.60, which will cover the journey to Marple and the return journey from Broadbottom.

Walk Start: Marple Railway Station at 10:45

Waypoints: Brabyns Park, Etherow Country Park, Werneth Country Park

Return Services: x:29 & x:30 / x:59.

Extra: Please use the toilet on the train. No toilets at walk start. There are toilets at Etherow Countyr Park. Optional drinks at the end at the Harewood Arms in Broadbottom. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).:

This is a linear walk from Marple to Broadbottom using mostly good tracks and paths. We will pass through Brabyns Park in Marple, Etherow Country Park, where there will be a brief stop for refreshments and Werneth County Park, with great views from the War Memorial. There are several bail out points on this walk which the walk leader will explain at the start.
