Having just come back from a recce, I must point out that following all the rain recently many of the paths are really muddy, the fields are waterlogged and it's quite heavy going in places. There is one path where it is simply a case of paddling through. There is an alternative - a little extra road walking - which will add about half a mile to the walk.
We start from the car park at the New Inn. A short walk along the road to join the Ebor Way where there are good views over to Arncliffe. At the end of the lane, we cross a road to pick up another lane dropping us down to Bramhope. Here we have some walking through passages in a housing estate before a walk up into Bramhope village where we'll stop for lunch.
From here, a 3/4 mile road walk before picking up the path down lanes and fields back to the Otley road.
From here, it is uphill across a number of fields arriving at the first road we crossed. Again we cross the road picking up tracks across fields back to our starting point.
Distance 7.5 - 8 miles.
