Overview

This challenging walk follows the eastern part of the Nantlle Ridge providing wonderful views of the nearby mountains and across to Snowdon and its ridges to the east. A steep climb brings us to a cairn on Y Garn. From here we continue on a narrow, scrambly ridge to the summit of Mynydd Drws y Coed and thence on somewhat easier terrain to the obelisk on Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd. We retrace our steps a short way before descending SE through partly felled forestry and thence back to the start.
