From the car park next to the cricket pitch and tennis courts we will pass the back  entrance to the Bursledon Brickworks museum and  over the M27 on route to the Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve with views of the Hamble river. The 36 hectare reserve of wooded landscape was once clay pits for the brickworks and has about 2 miles of paths. Our return route will take us under the M27.
