A walk along the mineral railway trail to Morwellham through woods and forest with splendid views across the Tamar Valley. As well as enjoying the sounds of the river and the views at Chimney Rock and Morwell Rock, we’ll pass remnants of the mineral railway that used to link Devon Great Consols Mine with the river port of Morwellham. We’ll also see the southern end of the Tavistock Canal Tunnel where the canal exits the tunnel near Morwellham.
Mainly forestry tracks and paths, likely to be muddy in some places and a small stream crossing. Some ups and downs. Short distance on the road down to Morwellham.
