Walk A - Holy Isle (4.5miles easy)
Cost £18 return per person (payable to Yvonne on the weekend)
The ferry will leave from Lamlash Pier at 11am but it is important we all meet at 10am to check in. (the Pier is about a 15minute walk from Sleep Huts).
This easy walk will allow time to visit the lovely gardens at the Peace Centre, hear about life on the island and then enjoy a walk round the island on an undulating path past St Molaise’s caves, and on to Pillar Rock lighthouse for a picnic. Lovely views and wildlife spotting opportunities throughout
The ferry will meet us at 3pm for return trip to Lamlash.

This walk takes us into Glen Dye Forest and on to the Arran Coastal Way (high route). A short climb is rewarded when the views open up over the sea to the Holy Isle and the mountains beyond. We dip down into Whiting Bay via Glenashdale where we’ll stop for a late lunch or tea break.
There is an option to finish our day’s walking with a further short pleasant section of the Arran Coastal Way (low route) up to Kingscross Point with lovely views.
Woodland paths and tracks, mostly easy but rough in places.
NB - it’s possible to omit the last 3 mile section to Kingscross Point and finish the walk after 7/7.5miles. You could explore Whiting Bay further and return by bus to Lamlash.
Walk starts at Dyemill carpark in Lamlash, just off the Ross Road https://shorturl.at/bmsA0 Note - we can walk through the village to the start point from Lamlash Pier.
