This walk is now fully subscribed. The walk will start at the war memorial in Blanefield below St Kessog church.
We shall walk along Campsie Dene Road and follow the Pipe Path to below Dumgoyne
then drop down to Glengoyne distillery crossing the main road at pedestrian crossing
and picking up part of West Highland Way heading back to Strathblane.
Fairly good paths throughout although could be muddy depending on weather.
Some up down but nothing too difficult.
Those coming by bus will alight at bus stop past Kirkhouse Inn. If coming by car you can park at the Kirkhouse Inn and walk along as we shall be finishing at Kirkhouse Inn.
There is parking at war memorial but limited space. The church allows walkers to park in their car park which is up behind church. They ask for a donation.
Meet at Buchanan Bus Station @ 8.55 to catch X10A to Strathblane @ 9.10
This bus calls in to Milngavie railway station @ approximately 9.48 so provides an alternative for people who prefer to use train. You can also park here. The leader will join the group on the bus here.
Please note there is only one bus an hour @ 8 minutes past the hour on return.
If we have time at the end those who wish could have refreshment at either Kirkhouse Inn or Wilson’s cafe.
