Overview

Please note Earlier start time to allow us to get back for Tea

A moderate 8.5 mile walk across fields, tracks and Shropshire Way.

We start high up on Wenlock Edge at Wilderhope Manor before descending passed  the historic Shipton Hall to the interesting grade 1 listed church at Holdgate in the lush Corvedale. We then follow the Shropshire Way back to the start.

Wilderhope Manor is a National Trust Property operated by YHA. If you are a member please bring your NT membership card if you want to go inside otherwise there may be a charge.

We have been offered drinks and cake and a free guided tour but need numbers and orders by Sunday 22 September, so please email the leader if you are interested.

Booking with the leader is essential so car sharing can be organised. We will not be meeting at Gatacre.
