We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start in the village of Levisham, parking on the roadside near to the Horseshoe Inn.
We walk along Gate Lane and along footpaths on Levisham moor taking in Skelton Tower.
The walk takes us along the scar and down to the valley bottom before we head up to Killing Nab Scar where we have good views.
Footpaths take us down to Hardigate Road and through Newton Dale to Levisham Station.
There is a steep pull back up to Levisham returning to our starting point.
Total ascent is a little over 1,600 ft. and the walk is about 11 miles.
