Overview

Starting from Junction Car Park in Farley Mount Country Park we head north through West Wood, then across farmland and a quiet country lane to Sparsholt for a coffee stop. We cross further fields to the hamlet of Dean, then through woods to the road of Dean Lane to the edge of Winchester - here a bowl of soup etc. will be offered for lunch in the walk leader's flat (N.B. numbers limited), although benches in the garden are available for picnickers if the weather is kind. Return to the start via Lanham Lane, Crab Wood and West Wood, almost all off-road. Under 5 miles am and 4 miles pm.
