Overview

A WALK DESCRIPTION: Length 12 miles, ascent 1000ft. Picnic lunch. We start the walk from a layby on the B587 near Lawn plantation we head south to enter the Staunton Harold estate reaching the Hall, we then follow a permissive path north to enter Dimmingsdale nature reserve. From there we enter Calke park (NT) estate after meandering around we head off to Staunton Harold reservoir and then to Melbourne for afternoon break. From Melbourne we head south and back to start of walk. Walk is mostly flat but can be muddy.
