Overview

Walk via Middlemoor and up the ancient track to Shorts Down, on by way of Plaster Down, and Watery Ford to the tranquil hamlet of Sampford Spiney where we will have a coffee break and time to see the ancient church of St Mary, which began life as a chapel for the nearby Manor.

After our break the return journey takes on to the lower slopes of Pew Tor returning to the car park on gentle moorland tracks and lanes.

Easy moorland tracks and lanes.
