Overview

We visit Roadford Lake , the south west's largest area of inland water. We walk through Germansweek, one of the smallest parishes in the County, much of which disappeared when the Wolf Valley flooded to create the reservoir. There is a bird hide for those who are 'twitters'.

Undulating woodland, farmland, tracks and lakeside paths.

Dogs on lead through farmland

Toilets and cafe at the Lakeside Cafe, option to drive to nearby free carpark after walk to view the Lake and have a picnic lunch and visit the infamous Sundial sculpture a short stroll along the lake path.

We will stop for a coffee break on route, bring a packed lunch if you would like to stay on at lakeside free CP.
