This is a leisurely stroll from Wilford Village south along the banks of the River Trent. Then after a short road section, we follow a path by the tram line. At the Compton Acres tram stop, we head along a path going north east, crossing a grassy open area. After crossing Wilford Lane , we pass near two schools to re-join the River Trent. At first, we head east, cross over the suspension bridge and then switch direction to the west on the north bank. The final section takes us across the old Toll Bridge back to the start point.
This is a walk without hills and stiles, part of the Flat 5 series. All the paths are well made and not susceptible to getting muddy when it has rained. Please meet in good time before the start time of 10:30 am for the walk briefing and introductions.
There is no need to book onto this walk, just turn up and join us. We will have a refreshment break along the way, so please remember to bring a drink and any snacks.
