This is a flat linear walk from Worplesdon Station.The terrain is easy. We walk across meadows in the morning and in the afternoon along the River Wey to Guildford. There is a lunch stop at the New Inn Send, or for those who prefer a picnic lunch, we can eat it at the nearby Triggs Lock.
Buy a day return ticket to Guildford and take the 9.45 am train from London Waterloo arriving at Worplesdon at 10.18 am where the walk begins
The New Inn pub at Send is quite large so I am not proposing to book lunch for those wishing to eat a meal at the pub. Please take plenty of water and sunscreen and waterproofs and something to eat for lunch, even if you are relying on a pub lunch, to be on the safe side.
NB - There are no toilets at Worplesdon Station so best to go on the train. There are toilets at the pub at lunch time, otherwise you will need to go in the bushes!
There no drop out points on this walk.
Take the 9.45 am train from Waterloo which arrives at Worplesdon Station at 10.18 am
