We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the Forestry car park we will head to the top of Bellever Tor for an early coffee break. As the open country paths are very wet we will stick to forest paths as far as possible but there will still be plenty of mud on the open section as we walk up to the tor!
Next we go down the far side of the tor crossing open moorland to the gate into the forest. Through the forest the tracks are good down to the East Dart river before returning to the car park near Post Bridge. Bellever tor has panoramic views and the walk through the picnic area beside the Dart is lovely mid-week!
The weather forecast looks good (Monday evening!) but be prepared for some muddy paths and exposure to wind and showers, particularly on the tor!
