Overview

We’ll follow the Hunter’s path taking a detour to Drewsteignton, then down to Fingle Bridge. Here we’ll follow the river a short way east before ascending through woods to the former site of Wooston castle. From here we’ll follow the edge of Willingstone Plantation to make a partial circuit of Butterdon Down before descending to the Teign.

This descent on a stony track will need care. Returning to Fingle Bridge we follow the more challenging north side of the Teign towards Drogo with fine views down the Teign Valley. Finally looping around and below the castle back to the start.
