Overview

Bollington Walking Festival walk.
Meet at Macclesfield bus station (SJ918735) beside bay 8 for 10:45 start.  This is a linear walk and we finish at the Cotton Tree, Bollington (SJ939780). If parking in Bollington then get to Macc via number 10 bus leaving the Cotton Tree at 10:07, arriving at 10:30, or the 391 from the Cotton Tree at 10:19, arriving 10:41.  Bring bus pass or approx £2 fare.  We will wait for the 391 to arrive.  The walk is 12.5 kms (7¾ miles) with 410 mts (1350 feet) of ascent.  The route is via The Hollins to Langley then to Tegg's Nose and Rainow, then the Infinity Stone path to Waulkmill waterfall, finishing at the Cotton Tree. Packed lunch. No dogs.
