Change Platform, then 0922 from East Croydon arrives Eridge 1003
Join us for a gentle ramble from Eridge to East Grinstead, following the High Weald Landscape Trail through rolling hills and fields of wheat (running through them reserved for those feeling naughty…). We will stop for lunch close to the House at Pooh Corner at Hartfield before passing through Forest Row and joining the Forest Way which follows the former railway line to drop down into East Grinstead.
Please bring a packed lunch. There are limited toilets en-route but plenty of natural options should nature call. Pub for drinks and toilets only close to lunch spot.
At the end of the walk, for those that wish to stay on for a drink, there is an option to stop off at The Railway pub close to East Grinstead station.
Drop out points: Forest Row for bus to East Grinstead
No booking required.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.

Return trains from East Grinstead depart every 30 minutes at xx06 and xx36.
Buy a return ticket to Eridge (even though it’s on a different line you should be able to negotiate return from East Grinstead using your Eridge return portion - was possible during the recce).
Freedom pass and 60+ Oyster card holders, buy a return from end zone 6 to Eridge.
