A lovely Chilterns walk through open countryside, farmland, some woodland, including Penn Wood, the ancient village of Little Missenden, and finishing in Amersham old town. Four interesting churches along the way with a possibility of visiting one if open and time allows. Some slight hills but nothing very steep. Toilets available at Great Missenden Station.
Stop at The Squirrel Pub (for a drink only) and picnic nearby. Please bring a packed lunch.
Could be muddy in places. Care to be taken crossing two fairly busy small roads.
Possible drop out point at Little Missenden following a shorter route to Amersham.

Travel
Take the 9.27 train from London Marylebone Station arriving at Great Missenden at 10.10
Return from Amersham Station (train or underground)
Freedom pass holders need only to buy a single from Amersham to Great Missenden
Great Missenden Railway Station. Meet just outside the station. Please cross the bridge to the opposite side to where the train will arrive.
