Starting at the MacLennan Arch on Glasgow Green we follow the river through the industrial hub of Glasgow, explore the Cuningar Loop where we have lunch, and walk through Auchenshuggle Woods to reach Cambuslang. Find out about a 1800 right of access dispute, look for stones from the Gorbals, climb the Tor (optional!), and keep an eye on the river for wildlife.
This is a straightforward flat walk on good footpaths and a well maintained boardwalk with a short uphill stretch right at the end as we leave the river and walk into Cambuslang.
Toilets at the Cuningar Loop, which is roughly halfway, and toilets in Morrisons at the end.
There are frequent trains back to Glasgow from Cambuslang.
