Overview

For those of you not going on Bev S’ excellent historic tour of Bath, this will prove to be something completely different.  Taken from Roger Jones’ book ‘Where Wiltshire Meets Somerset’, an amble ramble that includes Steeple Ashton, East Town, Stourton Water and Mudmead Lane.  Simply a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning close to home, finishing in time for lunch; unless you book the £20 option at the Longs Arms that does sound delicious.  There are no dramatic highpoints on what is simply a relaxing pastoral excursion where hopefully ‘Winter Meets Spring’.  Bring snack.
