Overview

A hilly walk in north Dorset with great views.  Starting with a descent of Gold Hill, famous for the 1970’s Hovis advert, we cross to West Melbury via French Mill Lane and then make the steep ascent up Melbury Hill to reach Melbury Beacon for a coffee stop with a view!  Continuing over the hill, with more fabulous views, we descend to Melbury Abbas and across to Cann Common, on to Charlton and Ludwell before returning to Shaftesbury via Wincombe Wood with maybe some Bluebells.  Two refreshment stops.
