A morning walk, similar to one that I led last year but with a few differences to ensure that variety is the spice of life. The key attractions are Stony Littleton Barrow, the Wellow Brook, evidence of the former Somerset & Dorset Railway, pill boxes and tank traps that were part of Stop Line Green, one of the most sought-after villages in the Bath area, a ford alongside an ancient packhorse bridge as well as fine views across a beautiful corner of North East Somerset. The walk will seem something completely different because this year we go in a clockwise direction, as well as following what was seasonally an impassable track from the foot of Hassage Hill to Stony Littleton Barrow, recently upgraded and mud-proofed by B&NES. An amble ramble finishing in time for Sunday lunch. Bring snack.
