Beautiful wild flower meadows in Swaledale and a very pleasant walk on mostly very good tracks with great views as we return to Muker on the side of Kidson.
The track on the side of Kidson is rocky under foot in places so sticks are recommended.
In poor conditions this section can be avoided by taking the track that follows the west side of the river
Parking past Gunnerside Lodge just over a mile from Gunnerside.
Time will be allowed during the lunch break to visit the Keld Living Heritage Museum
There are a few stone gated stiles

Straight on at Gunnerside when main road goes left at 90 degrees. Parking area is a large area of grass just passed Gunnerside Lodge 1 mile from leaving the main road at Gunnerside
