Overview

We walk in Upper Wensleydale starting from the hamlet of Appersett. We follow the River Ure upstream to Mossdale Head and on to Thwaite Bridge. We then climb over High Rigg before dropping down into Cotterdale, where we have lunch. We then follow a path south east to join the Pennine Way for a short way before dropping down back to Appersett.
