The classic circular walk from Goldsborough through Ribston Hall Estate to Plompton Rocks (fleeting glimpse) then to Plumpton Hall. Returning through Birkham Wood with views down to the R Nidd then crossing an interesting bridge! Two thirds of the walk is on estate/farm lanes & tracks and the remainder on good bridleways & paths with one very short boggy section below Plumpton Hall.
Very gently undulating with only 375' ascent and no stiles! Livestock may be present.
** A658 needs to be crossed with extreme care in 2 places
Considerate parking within Goldsborough village (plenty of spaces on road to church & Goldsborough Hall). Meet at the village history board next to The Bay Horse Inn.
