Overview

Circular 4.75 miles walk from Bromsgrove railway station. Walk leader: Brenda Cameron. From Bromsgrove station we soon join the Monarch’s Way path and then quiet lanes and tracks to Tardebigge and its fine 18th century church sitting on a small ridge above the canal. We have a break in the church grounds so we can take in the serenity of the surroundings. Back to the canal which we follow passing a series of locks to Tardebigge Reservoir, a large body of water with its birdlife in a picturesque setting alongside the canal. Shortly after, we leave the canal and take a field path leading us slightly downhill towards a lane leading back to Bromsgrove Station. For those who would like to enjoy some refreshment before getting the return train we can use one of the outlets near the station. There are three trains an hour back towards Birmingham. Distance of walk: 4.75 miles with a break at halfway.
