Overview

From Beaconsfield through Hogback Wood to the Chiltern Way, from which we drop to the Wye Valley and a disused railway line to Bourne End, then along the Thames Path for a picnic or pub lunch at Cookham. After lunch we follow the Green Way to the centre of Maidenhead. Some of the walk may be muddy, especially where the Green Way is on low-lying land.

Toilets: at start at Beaconsfield station, lunch in Cookham, and end at Maidenhead.

Lunch: Picnic, pubs or café in Cookham.

Train: London Marylebone 10:07 (Oxford train) arrive Beaconsfield 10:43. Return from Maidenhead, with earlier opt-outs at Bourne End and Cookham. Buy two singles. Freedom Pass holders buy West Ruislip to Beaconsfield and return free from Maidenhead on the Elizabeth line.
