This is a sequel to the walk on March 11, LONDON LOOP MEETS VANGUARD WAY, and we begin by retracing our steps on urban and woodland footpaths to the point where the two trails run together for a few miles. We emerge from woodlands at the entrance to a golf course, where they diverge, and soon, having parted company with both of them, come to our lunch stop: a village green on one side of the road, and a pub on the other. After lunch, footpaths and fairly quiet roads take us to Upper Warlingham Station.
Use toilets on the train, or on the platforms at East Croydon Station.
Lunch: pub /picnic at Warlingham, after about two and a half hours.
There are no obvious drop-out points.
Trains: East Croydon Station is in Zone three and there are frequent trains from both London Bridge and Victoria.
