The walk will be in two parts, the second is optional.
The first part is 2.5 miles amble in and around Bratton. This is not that easy as there are a lot of ups and downs, but there is an option to miss out two or three of those. These paths can be walked without walking boots, but good shoes required. Therefore an ideal walk for beginners or those who are not that fit. This walk should finish before 11.30.
The second part, 3.5 miles is over the fields to Edington, passing the Old Mill on leaving Bratton.
The pub is open from 12 and serves lunch. They could open earlier if there is enough interest from the short walk people.
It is a fascinating walk with lots to see. St. Catherine’s medieval well, St. James’ Church, The Old Court House, distinctive dwellings as we walk along numerous historic pathways and steps in Bratton.
