Caudale Moor and Stoney Cove Pike

Starting high at the top of Kirkstone Pass, we will climb up St. Ravens Crag via a couple of easy scrambles and then follow one of those great Lakeland features, an old stone wall, all the way to John Bell's Banner Monument and onto the Wainwright top of Stoney Cove Pike. Heading back over to Caudale Moor summit cairn, we will start to head down the ridge, taking a path down to Caudale Quarry. Our descent will continue down steeply to the roadside by Caudale Bridge. We will then make our way up Kirkstone Pass following the beck and passing The Kirk Stone back to the start. The ascents and descents are steep but are on good paths throughout and will be taken at a moderate pace.
