Overview

A walk over deserted moorland encircling the valley of Cawdale Beck and overlooking Haweswater. We climb first gradually up to Loadpot Hill before turning south on the Roman road past Wether Hill, before turning east to begin the straightforward descent to reach the ancient meeting place of Towtop Kirk, over an old clapper bridge and returning via the farmstead of Carhullan to Rough Hill tarn.
