A Classic Round of Robinson, Dale Head & High Spy with a few extra twists and turns
Starting from Little Town, we make our way towards High Snab before skirting into Dudman Comb, where the ascent begins. The northern ridge of Robinson offers a surprisingly steep but rewarding climb, leading to wide-reaching views over the surrounding fells.
From here, we continue to Dale Head, where the iconic view over Newlands Valley makes the effort worthwhile. A steady descent brings us to the quietl waters of Launchy Tarn before we complete the horseshoe by crossing High Spy. The walk finishes with a steep descent over Bull Crag, dropping into Yewthwaite Comb and following the Sheepfold path back to the valley.
A varied and satisfying variation of a classic ridge walk.
