Overview

Starting at Dunmail Raise, we ascend to Grisedale Tarn before venturing through Cock Cove, Ruthwaite Cove, Nethermost Cove, Red Tarn Cove, Brown Cove and Keppel Cove. On the way we bisect the dramatic Striding Edge and Swirral Edge. Our return route takes us past Brownrigg Well, Whelp Side, and Middle Tongue. This demanding walk combines steep ascents, thrilling ridges, and serene beauty, offering an unforgettable experience for experienced fellwalkers.
